Now you see them, now you don’t……
Stage 7 of the Tour of Britain will be passing through many of the out of the way places included in our Discovery Cycling Tour of the Cotswolds on Saturday 9 September 2017. The stage begins in Hemel Hempstead, after a King of the Mountains climb of Cleeve Hill inside the final 10km, finishing in central Cheltenham. We will be waving and cheering on all of these courageous riders on their cycling Tour of Britain.
Unfortunately for those on the cycling tour, they will not be able to stop and have a cuppa and a scone along the way or call in at a pub, unlike the relaxed cycle tours offered by Cotswold Country Cycles. On our Discover Tour, we recommend that you lean your bikes up against a fence and take in the views; well, this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty after all!
For those on the Tour of Britain, Snowshill Manor, an eclectic exhibition of curios will be but a dream as the riders stream by. Hailes Abbey, a 13th-century ruin, will just be a pile of honey-coloured stone, unless time is taken to discover what a centre of pilgrimage (and commerce) it was for over 200 years.
You too can experience the Cotswolds like those on the Tour of Britain with our Discovery Tour, but with a beneficial difference on your side: time to take in the outstanding views.
